Op maandag 8 mei 2023 vond op de VUB een bijzondere herdenkingsceremonie plaats. Er werd vrijheid en verzet gevierd door middel van getuigenissen, toespraken, poëzie en muzikale begeleiding. Deze ceremonie markeert de herdenking van de dag waarop nazi-Duitsland zich officieel overgaf in 1945. Een moment om stil te staan bij oorlogsslachtoffers, verzetshelden en de waarde van vrede en democratie.

On May 2, VUB Architectural Engineering is organising an evening event to discuss the reuse of building materials, from ancient times to the present at RESET.

Wetenschappers en kunstenaars zijn de visionairs van de samenleving. Om die stem en hartenklop een podium te geven, riepen KVS en de Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB) Mindblowers in het leven. Verwacht je aan performances op het kruispunt van kunst, cultuur en reflectie. Na alles dat ons nog te wachten staat dit verkiezingsjaar, is het thema dit jaar – heel toepasselijk – Power!

Als onderdeel van Het Ondenkbare Experiment, een uitdagend project van de VUB, de ULB en kunstenaar Koen Vanmechelen, doken 24 jongeren uit alle uithoeken van de wereld in de complexiteit en schoonheid van Brussel. Een regio en stad in voortdurende beweging, het thema van dit jaar.
