Each year on 20 November VUB and ULB celebrate their founder, Pierre-Théodore Verhaegen (1796-1862). This event includes a student celebration across the Brussels city centre. It has taken place in different shapes since 1888 and has become known as ‘St V’ or ‘Saint-Vé’.
