The weKONEKT.tables have been a staple in the working of weKONEKT.brussels since its start in 2017. The idea behind the weKONEKT.tables is to bring various actors in Brussels together, and to show appreciation to everyone who has worked together with us, and has made this project possible. It is important in the project that there is always an extra place at the table. Hospitality, generosity and humanism create the fertile context in which new opportunities arise and develop.

We toast with the Brussels cultural houses, civil society organisations, companies, international institutions and especially with our students and university communities to our shared future.

The weKONEKT.tables are done in partnership with a Brussels based institution or organisation. We have had the pleasure of working with: De Munt, KBR, ASATT, Henri, Bozar… Local and sustainable food, cultural and artistic interventions, and inspiring people are central at the weKONEKT.tables.

Over the years, the weKONEKT.tables have taken up various forms. Each time, we focus on a different theme and format, always with special attention to culture and art.
Starting the series off with a long table ran along the entire length of the Ravenstein Gallery at Central Station, for the launch of weKONEKT.brussels. Because of its success, the year afterwards, a similar weKONEKT.table was organised to thank the people involved for their support in the project.
In 2021 and 2022 two editions of our weKONEKT.wellbeing tables took place, highlighting the wellbeing of students. In partnership with KBR and Dyonisos Now, weKONEKT.brussels organised the weKONEKT.apero, an alternative to the tables in response to COVID-19.
